As a Senior Web Engineer, you will join one of our cross-functional feature teams. You will work towards bi-weekly goals in a Kanban-like manner alongside your teammates, full-stack developers, testers, and a product owner.

Your focus will be on the front end. You are a TypeScript and React.js expert, working on features and solutions on dé VakantieDiscounter website for our customers and the CMS for our employees. You will guide the team on best practices and solid solutions for handling front-end challenges.

As a company and team, we continuously improve ourselves, reduce wasteful activities, and become more effective. You will participate in this effort with feedback and a vision. We are a flat transparent organization, and your opinions matter to us.

You will need to be a strong learner. We use an up-to-date modern technology stack running on GCP, consisting of TypeScript, React.js, and Next.js. The internal API layer uses Scala with ZIO. To accelerate innovation and creativity, we spend 10% of our time on novel ideas during the exploration days. 

• You are a Web Engineer with more than five years of experience.
• You are a TypeScript and React.js expert.
• You are entirely comfortable with HTML, CSS, and related web technologies.
• You have experience with DevOps (Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines.
• You have experience working in an Agile environment.

We consider it a plus if you have experience with the following: 

• You worked on a high-traffic consumer website in the past.
• Cloud platforms like GCP, AWS, or Azure (preferably GCP).
• You have experience and are passionate about test automation.
• You previously worked in the travel domain.
• Open Source is important to you.
